2011–2013 FeMET, StEEL and Premier Scholarships Awarded
12 June 2012 - The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) and the Association for Iron & Steel Technology Foundation's "Ferrous Metallurgy Education Today," or FeMET Initiative, and "Steel Engineering Education Link," or StEEL Scholarship program, both aimed at attracting top talent to the North American steel industry, have awarded scholarships of US$5,000 to third-year students from leading North American colleges for the 2011–2013 academic years.

Posco Raises the Bar for Average PCI Rates
01 November 2005 - Posco recently achieved pulverized coal injection rates of 204 kg per tonne of hot metal on all blast furnaces at its Kwangyang Works. The 204 kg/tonne rate is the highest average rate of pulverized coal injection (PCI) in the company, and has helped to significantly lower ironmaking costs.

01 August 2005 - Moody's has upgraded Posco from A3 to A2, which is even higher than the national credibility grade for all of Korea (A3). Posco’s new rating is the highest among the credibility grades of all blast furnaces of the world, and is the second highest among all steelworks after Nucor, which is ranked as A1.
