The Annual Emerging Leaders Alliance Conference

The Emerging Leaders Alliance (ELA) is a partnership among leading engineering, research and science-based organizations that provides high quality leadership training. Our mission is to provide an interdisciplinary annual conference for select professionals, promoting the development of great leaders to guide our professions in addressing the needs of people in the 21st century.

The Association for Iron & Steel Technology is a founding partner of the Emerging Leaders Alliance (ELA), and has served as managing partner since 2011.  AIST works collaboratively with fellow partner organizations to present an annual leadership training conference for younger engineering and science-related professionals.  The ELA positions itself to meet the training needs of its partners, while also preparing future leaders to serve society through skill development in a unique cross-disciplinary environment. AIST sponsors young professional members to attend the conference each year through recommendations from members of the board of directors and foundation trustees.
