SMS group to Convert Tata Steel’s Blast Furnace to Paul Wurth EASyMelt Technology

21 April 2026 - SMS group announced its subsidiary Paul Wurth S.A. has entered an agreement with Tata Steel for its plant in Jamshedpur, India, to be the first to convert its blast furnace E to electrically assisted syngas smelter (EASyMelt) technology.
