GRANT PROGRAM COORDINATOR
The Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST) seeks a fulltime grants program coordinator to join its Technology Programs department. This is a newly created position in the association with the opportunity for a growth-focused individual to build a standalone department for grant review, application, and management. The selected candidate will research and obtain grant opportunities for the association as well as coordinate current grant programs currently within the association. The successful candidate will work closely with members of the Technology Department team as well as other AIST departments to ensure the highest-quality product. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, and/or technical writing/communications; and two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Solid organizational skills, multi-tasking and time-management abilities are critical as well as the ability to prepare and coordinate schedules, action steps, flowcharts and risk management. Teamwork and a people-oriented attitude are critical. Travel will be required as necessary to serve the needs of the grant program administration, Grant Workshops, and other AIST Events for the management of the grant programs.
