Student Resume Coaching

The key to securing an internship or job after graduation is a great resume! Materials Science and Engineering students with experience or interest in steelmaking can email their resume to resumecoaching@aist.org and receive feedback from a steel industry professional for free. This useful tool is a great way to confirm students are well-prepared when applying for an internship or job opportunity at a steel-related company. Students who utilize this service have a better chance at standing out from other candidates and easily earning an interview with their desired employer.

Young Professional and Student Mentorship Program

Mentors are one of the most valuable tools that a student can have! Making meaningful connections and meeting with those who were in your shoes not too long ago can provide you with the guidance and insight that can ensure your success in the steel industry.
Students who are interested in being paired with a young professional industry mentor should fill out the Student Mentor Program Application. This form will help AIST find the best industry match for each respective student.
Upon filling out the application, the student will hear from AIST within one business week with a status update on the progress of their mentor match.
