HFI Tube Welding Line in Operation at Thisvi Pipeworks
28 October 2009 - In the Thisvi Pipeworks in Greece, Corinth Pipeworks has produced the world's first 26-inch longitudinally welded pipe by using the High Frequency Induction (HFI) process. During a three-week shutdown, the line was extended jointly by Corinth and SMS Meer to allow production of the pipes.
