Byard Spiral Mill Sdn Bhd is preparing to ship a new off line Spiral Pipe Mill to Surya Roshni Ltd of India.
The state-of-the-art off line spiral pipe mill will be capable of manufacturing gas and oil pipelines up to API X80 grade. It will have the capacity to operate at welding speeds of up to eight meters/minute using CO2/Argon MIG process.
Byard Spiral Mill Sdn Bhd will also supply downstream and testing equipment, including a 2800-tonne hydrotester, a pipe end beveling machine, and off-line SAW welding stations.

This installation is the 5th Spiral Mill the company has sold in India, including both conventional and offline modes of operation.
Byard Spiral Mill Sdn Bhd was established in 1999 by Garth Byard and C T Ting to design and build Spiral Pipe Mills for Water, Gas and Oil and Structural pipes. Garth Byard has over 30 years experience in design and operation of Spiral Pipe Mills, including time working with his father, the founder of Byard Kenwest Engineering Ltd (subsequently renamed Wilson Byard Ltd of Scotland). Byard Spiral Mill Sdn Bhd has sold over 40 mills and ancillary equipment to different countries.
