History of the Mexico Member Chapter
The ISS (Iron and Steel Society) Mexico Local Section was renamed to the AIST Mexico Member Chapter following the merger of AISE (Association of Iron & Steel Engineers) and ISS in 1995. The AIST Mexico Chapter publishes a quarterly journal, Hierro Y Acero, which is published in Spanish and includes articles about new technologies and other areas of interest to individuals in the Mexican steel industry. The AIST Mexico Member Chapter also hosts CONAC, a bi-annual conference and exposition.
