Posco Signs MoA with Vale, Dongkuk to Join Steel Mill Project
08 November 2010 - Posco has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Vale and Dongkuk that establishes the terms for its entry in the Companhia Siderúrgica do Pecém (CSP) project. The next steps will be the negotiation and signing of a Shareholder Agreement, expected for the beginning of next year.
Gerdau Reports 3Q10 Results
08 November 2010 - Gerdau reported that shipments reached 4.4 million tonnes in the 2010 third quarter, 14% higher than in 3Q09, due to the positive performance of the Specialty Steel Business Operation and the improvement in domestic demand at the Brazil Business Operation.
Posco Breaks Ground for Indonesian Steel Mill
08 November 2010 - Posco is constructing its first overseas integrated steel mill in Indonesia, recently breaking ground for the mill in the city of Cilegon, located 100 km west of Jakarta. Posco will lay the ground work across 400 ha of land, with joint investment from Krakatau Steel.

ArcelorMittal Ostrava to Resume Hot-Metal Supply to Evraz Vítkovice Steel
03 November 2010 - ArcelorMittal Ostrava and Evraz Vitkovice Steel (EVS) reached an agreement recently over the supplies of liquid pig iron from ArcelorMittal Ostrava to the steelmaking facilities of EVS. The agreement guarantees supplies of hot metal from November 20, 2010, to the end of 2011.
