13 March 2012 - South Steel Company, part of Pan Kingdom Invest, Saudi Arabia, has placed an order with SMS Meer to design and deliver a combined 500,000 tonne/year wire rod and bar mill to be built in Jizan Economic City in southern Saudi Arabia.

Harsco Awarded New Contract for Alfa Acciai Mill in Brescia

12 March 2012 - Harsco Corp. has been awarded a new six-year contract for steel mill services at Alfa Acciai Group’s Brescia steel mill in northern Italy. Harsco will develop and manage a new scrap yard and provide services for processing the mill’s EAF slag.

Mechel Reports Suspension of Smelting at Otelu Rosu
