Sandvik Certified to New International Energy Management Standard
04/04/2012 - Sandvik has successfully achieved certification to the new International Energy Management Standard ISO 50001:2011, as part of the company's ongoing energy efficiency program designed to reduce energy consumption across the organization.
Sandvik has successfully achieved certification to the new International Energy Management Standard ISO 50001:2011.
"What this new standard provides us with is a robust framework for optimizing our energy efficiency throughout the production units," explained Susanne Lindqvist, Process Owner for Energy and Climate at Sandvik Materials Technology. "It allows us to follow a systematic approach for continual improvement of energy performance, including energy efficiency, energy usage, and consumption."
Assessment and certification was carried out by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance and is the culmination of the company's ongoing energy efficiency program designed to reduce energy consumption across the organization.
Sandvik Materials Technology is a developer and producer of advanced stainless steels, special alloys, titanium, and other high-performance materials.
