Lisa Gordon
ferrous scrap editor, American Metal Market
Lisa Gordon is the scrap editor for American Metal Market and has a thorough understanding of the steel industry which she has now been covering for ten years. After working for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Lisa retired in 1994 to raise her children. She returned to reporting and resumed her career covering finished steel products for Steel Business Briefing but quickly transferred to covering ferrous scrap as her beat. Lisa joined AMM in 2009 and her enormous respect for the steel industry and ability to write in a non-sensational manner has earned her the trust and respect of key players in the scrap and steel sectors.
In addition to breaking and reporting news under the radar, Lisa oversees the ferrous scrap price settlements in all U.S. domestic markets which amounts to billions of dollars in sales conducted off these prices on a monthly basis.
