MISSION: To serve and support the ESTC members and the iron/steel industry by providing forums for technical information exchange, personal development and networking. The Electric Steelmaking Technology Committee will accomplish this Vision through the development of a technical training seminar, AISTech annual conference and technically focused committee meetings.

The Study Tour consisted of three steel plants in western Germany.
2016 EAF Study Tour — Italy
The Study Tour consisted of a visit to nine meltshops and one refractory manufacturer.
2014 EAF Study Tour — Brazil
Fourteen delegates from North and South America visited three steelmaking facilities and one mining/refining operation.
2013 EAF Study Tour — Argentina
The Study Tour consisted of three plant tours plus a tour of Tenaris University, coinciding with the 19th IAS Steel Conference 2013.
