World Steel Association Reports July Crude Steel Production 2% Higher Year-on-Year
21 August 2012 - World crude steel production for the 62 countries reporting to the World Steel Association (worldsteel) was 130 million tonnes in July 2012, an increase of 2.0% compared to July 2011.

Alberta Adopts ASTM A1035 Steel as Corrosion Protection Solution for Bridge Roadways
20 August 2012 - The Province of Alberta, Canada recently updated its Bridge Structure Design Criteria Version 7.0 to reflect that ASTM A1035 corrosion resistant reinforcing steel manufactured by MMFX Steel or solid stainless steel are the only two acceptable reinforcing steel technologies for use in Exposure Class 2 bridges in Alberta.
