Danieli Corus has received an order from OJSC Zaporizhstal in Ukraine for the execution of a hearth assessment for its Zaporozhye Blast Furnace No. 2.

This hearth assessment makes it possible to provide Zaporizhstal advice on the expected hearth condition without having to stop the blast furnace operation. Based on the results and recommendations of the hearth assessment, Zaporizhstal can update their hearth maintenance plan. From a maintenance and safety perspective, hearth assessment is an essential tool for reliable and safe blast furnace operations.
