Built at a capacity of 0.7 million tonnes per annum, this is part of Tata Steel’s ambitious 9.7 million mtpa expansion project happening in Jamshedpur. This will also improve the financial viability of the steel works significantly.
In the past year, Tata Steel has safely and successfully commissioned all major units of its expansion program.
The coke oven battery#10 and by-product plant will go into full production in December 2012.
