13 August 2014 - The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) reported that for the month of June 2014, U.S. steel mills shipped 8,291,823 tons, a 1.3% decrease from the 8,398,976 tons shipped in the previous month, May 2014, and a 6.2% increase from the 7,806,319 tons shipped in June 2013.

15 July 2014 - The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) has released figures for the first quarter of 2014 showing that stainless steel melt shop production increased by 6.8% year–on–year to 10.2 million metric tons (mmt). Production increased in all regions.
SunCoke Energy Expects to Report Increased Domestic Coke Production for Q2 2014
10 July 2014 - SunCoke Energy Inc. (SXC) reported second quarter 2014 domestic coke production is expected to be 1,059,000 tons, up 115,000 tons from first quarter 2014, which was impacted by the severe winter weather.
