Metals USA Reports First Quarter 2012 Results

20 April 2012 - Metals USA Holdings Corp. reported net sales for the first quarter of 2012, ended March 31, of $525.3 million, up 22% from net sales of $432.3 million recorded for the first quarter of 2011. Net income was $16.3 million, compared to first quarter 2011 net income of $12.4 million.

Ryerson to Open New Illinois Service Center

27 February 2012 - Ryerson has expanded into South America for the first time with the acquisition of a 50% stake in Acofran Acos e Metais LTDA, a steel service center based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The company's product line comprises primarily long products, specifically flat and round bar.

Olympic Steel Reports 4th Quarter, Annual Financial Results

24 February 2012 - Olympic Steel, Inc. reported that net sales for the fourth quarter of 2011 totaled $319.9 million, its highest ever for a fourth quarter. Net sales for the year totaled $1.26 billion, a record annual revenue total and an increase of 56.7% from $805 million in 2010.
