EVRAZ North America to Begin Heat Treat and Threading Expansion at Calgary

28 February 2013 - EVRAZ North America announced Board approval of its plan to expand heat treat and threading capacity at its Calgary, Alberta, tubular facility. The multimillion dollar project, which will commence next month, includes expanding heat treat capacity by over 150% and threading capacity by about 40%.

26 February 2013 - Oxy-Arc International Inc. and its partner, Torch Cutting Technologies, S.L. (TCT), recently completed the commissioning of four TCT Billet Caster Cutting Machines (BCCM) along with an Oxy-Arc gas-saving manifold system, machine torches, and tips at Simec International 6, S.A. de C.V.’s facility in Mexicali, BCN, Mexico.

Tata Steel Saves Energy With Heat Retention Boxes at IJmuiden

26 February 2013 - Tata Steel will save 10 million cubic meters of gas a year — enough to power 5,500 homes — at its IJmuiden plant in the Netherlands through the use of newly installed heat-retention boxes.
