Horsehead Updates Restart Schedule for PA Refining Facility

02 September 2010 - Horsehead Holding Corp. noted that the Monaca, Pa., plant's zinc oxide and metal refinery remains temporarily shut down. Regarding zinc oxide production, the company currently expects to restart all four Larvik furnaces by the end of September; it expects to restart the zinc oxide and refined zinc metal columns in stages starting in November.

Preliminary Steel Imports up 19% in July

25 August 2010 - The U.S. imported a total of 2,415,000 net tons of steel in July, up 19% from June data, according to the latest report from AISI. Finished steel imports were up 15% from June data.
