13 October 2014 - The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) reported that for the month of August 2014, U.S. steel mills shipped 8,480,954 tons, a 0.1% decrease from the 8,492,744 tons shipped in the previous month, July 2014, and a 1.7% increase from the 8,343,075 tons shipped in August 2013.
