Canadian Tribunal Finds Injury from Stainless Steel Wire

05 August 2004 - The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) has determined that injury has been caused to the Canadian steel industry by the dumping of cold drawn and annealed stainless steel round wire from the Republic of Korea, Switzerland and the United States of America, and the subsidizing of this product from India.

04 August 2004 - Concast recently started up a new, single-unit meltshop at Nucor’s facility in Jewett, Texas. The new one million ton/year (900,000 tonne) plant consists of a 100-ton (82-tonne) electric arc furnace, twin-station ladle furnace and a four (five)-strand Convex Technology® continuous caster.
