08 January 2015 - Tenaris’ seamless pipe mill in Japan has received certification from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) to produce ABS steel grade EQ70 (equivalent to API X100) for bracing pipes used in jackup rigs.

07 January 2015 - Already in OSHA’s Severe Violator Enforcement Program (SVEP) for willful violations, Boomerang Tube LLC in Liberty, Texas, continued to put workers in harm's way and exposed them to unguarded machinery, failure to shut down machinery and other hazards, a July 2014 follow-up inspection by the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) found.
