TenarisUniversity Receives Steelie Award for Excellence in Education and Training
10/30/2014 - Tenaris received the Steelie award from the World Steel Association (worldsteel) for its “Excellence in education and training” for the second consecutive year.
The annual worldsteel convention took place in Moscow, Russia, 5–8 October 2014. Paolo Rocca, Tenaris chairman and CEO, attended, along with other prominent world leaders in the industry. Tenaris received the Steelie award from the World Steel Association (worldsteel) for its “Excellence in education and training” for the second consecutive year. The fifth edition of the Steelie awards was presented at the closing dinner of the conference.
Tenaris received this honor for the development of online learning courses with the University of Sheffield and edX. Rocca, received the prize from John Ferriola of Nucor Company. Other nominees in this category included Baosteel for their leadership program and Tata Steel Europe for its assessment of strengths in personnel skills development.
