Lee Steel Installs Red Bud EPS® Coil Line
19 November 2014 - Lee Steel Corp. of Novi, Mich., recently installed a Red Bud Industries’ EPS (Eco Pickled Surface) coil line. The new line is capable of removing scale from HRS material up to .375” at 72” wide and coil weights up to 70,000 lbs.
USW Members Ratify New Labor Agreement at AK Steel Tubemaking Unit
19 November 2014 - The members of United Steelworkers of America (USW) Local 1915 have ratified a new three-year labor agreement with AK Steel’s wholly-owned subsidiary, AK Tube LLC, covering about 100 hourly production and maintenance employees at its Walbridge, Ohio, facility.

ITC Rules Non-Oriented Electrical Steel from Six Countries Injures U.S. Industry
14 November 2014 - The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) determined that the U.S. industry is materially injured by reason of imports of non-oriented electrical steel (NOES) from China, Germany, Japan, Korea, Sweden, and Taiwan that the U.S. Department of Commerce has determined are sold in the United States at less than fair value and are subsidized by the governments of China and Taiwan.
