First Woman to Take Helm of the Mining Association of Canada
19 June 2013 - The Mining Association of Canada (MAC) announced that Zoë Yujnovich, president and CEO of Canada's largest iron ore producer, the Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC), has been elected as chair of MAC for a two-year term. She is the association's first female chair in its 78-year history.

April U.S. Steel Shipments Up 0.7% from March, YTD Shipments Down
17 June 2013 - The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) reported that for the month of April 2013, U.S. steel mills shipped 7,978,531 tons of steel products, a 0.7% increase from the 7,922,265 tons shipped in the previous month, March 2013, and a 3.2% decrease from the 8,245,339 tons shipped in April 2012.
