27 August 2012 - U.S. Steel has recalled all of its laid-off Hamilton workers and is posting plans to hire another 72 staff for its Canadian operations, the Hamilton Spectator reported.

06 August 2012 - The U.S. Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit on behalf of the Environmental Protection Agency and state environmental agencies against U.S. Steel Corp. for alleged past and present violations of the Clean Air Act; U.S. Steel plans to fight the allegations, which it claims are false.
