U.S. Commerce Department Finds Subsidization of OCTG from China

25 November 2009 - The Department of Commerce announced on November 24 its final determination in the countervailing duty investigation on imports of oil country tubular goods from P.R. China. It found that Chinese producers/exporters of OCTG have received net countervailable subsidies ranging from 10.36 to 15.78%.

ITC to Uphold Duties, Finding on PC Wire Strand from Six Countries

11 November 2009 - The U.S. ITC will uphold the existing countervailing duty order on prestressed concrete steel wire strand from India, and antidumping duty orders on this product from Brazil, India, Korea, Mexico, and Thailand, as well as an existing antidumping duty finding on this product from Japan.

U.S. Commerce Department to Impose Preliminary Duties on OCTG from China

06 November 2009 - The U.S. Department of Commerce preliminarily determines that oil country tubular goods from P.R. China are being sold or are likely to be sold in the United States at less than fair value, as provided in section 733 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended.

02 November 2009 - The U.S. International Trade Commission determines there is reasonable indication that a U.S. industry is threatened with material injury by reason of imports of certain seamless carbon and alloy steel standard, line, and pressure pipe from China that are allegedly subsidized and sold in the U.S. at less than fair value.
