May Steel Shipments Dip Slightly from Previous Month

20 July 2005 - U.S. steel mills shipped 8,387,000 net tons in May 2005, according to the latest data released by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). May shipments represent an 8.8% decrease from the 9,194,000 net tons shipped in May 2004, and a 1.8% decrease from the 8,545,000 net tons shipped in the previous month, April 2005.
