May Steel Shipments Dip Slightly from Previous Month

20 July 2005 - U.S. steel mills shipped 8,387,000 net tons in May 2005, according to the latest data released by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). May shipments represent an 8.8% decrease from the 9,194,000 net tons shipped in May 2004, and a 1.8% decrease from the 8,545,000 net tons shipped in the previous month, April 2005.

Schuff Purchases Former Havens Steel Fabrication Facility

19 July 2005 - Schuff International Inc. announced that its subsidiary, Schuff Steel Co., has purchased a steel fabrication plant and certain other assets of Kansas City, Mo.,-based Havens Steel Co. for $4.5 million in cash.

Court Grants Stelco Additional Extension of Stay Period
