L.B. Foster Supplies Steel Grid Decking for NYC Bridge
22 January 2010 - L.B. Foster Co. is supplying the City of New York DOT with 10,000 ft2 of steel grid decking to replace the roadway of the Greenpoint Avenue Bridge over Newtown Creek. The company will also provide 2500 ft2 of 7-ft-wide decking for the drawbridge's sidewalks.
Commerce Initiates Investigations of Drill Pipe from China
22 January 2010 - The U.S. Department of Commerce has initiated antidumping duty and countervailing duty investigations on imports of drill pipe from P.R. China. From 2006 to 2008, imports of drill pipe from China increased 106% by volume.
November Steel Shipments Down 11% from October
22 January 2010 - U.S. steel mills shipped 5,424,000 net tons for the month of November 2009, an 11.0% decrease from the 6,097,000 net tons shipped in the previous month according to the latest report from AISI.
