Commerce Initiates Circumvention Investigation on CTL Plate from China

30 April 2010 - The U.S. Department of Commerce is initiating an antidumping circumvention inquiry to determine whether imports of cut-to-length carbon steel plate from P.R. China are circumventing the duty order by containing small amounts of boron.

EPA Requires Improvements at Tonawanda Coke

30 April 2010 - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has ordered the Tonawanda Coke Corp. (TCC) to find and fix deficiencies in its operation of the coke manufacturing facility in Tonawanda, N.Y. EPA is also requiring TCC to explain two incidents that took place at the facility in 2009 and 2010, apparently due to power and equipment failures.

Tenova Core Resumes Work on Severstal Materials Handling System

30 April 2010 - Tenova Core has been contracted to design and supply a melt shop material handling system as part of the Severstal North America Phase II project at its Columbus, Miss., facility.
