Tenova Core Resumes Work on Severstal Materials Handling System

Tenova Core has been contracted to design and supply a melt shop material handling system as part of the Severstal North America Phase II project at its Columbus, Miss., facility.
 
The project features an EAF flux charging system, a LMF/VOD alloy and flux material feed system, as well as an HBI feed system. Tenova Core is also supplying some of the equipment for the carbon injection system, including the carbon material storage silo and first transport vessel.
 
Conveyors, storage silos, bins, vibratory feeders, and injection vessels are included in the scope of supply. Tenova Core also will design the necessary process control and automation systems to operate the material handling systems.
