10 October 2005 - Ipsco Inc. gave notice to the holders of its $100 million 7.8% Debentures, due December 1, 2006, that it will redeem all such outstanding Debentures on November 4, 2005.

Ipsco Subsidiary to Pay Workers for Seven Week Lockout

14 September 2005 - The Queen's Bench has upheld a May decision of the Saskatchewan Labor Relations Board regarding a lockout at the Wheat City Metals scrap metal processing facility. As a result of the decision, thirty-nine United Steelworkers are to be paid seven weeks of lost wages for the lockout that had been imposed by their employer.

Ipsco to Expand Pipe Mill Operations

26 August 2005 - Ipsco announced it will expand the current oil country tubular goods (OCTG) heat treat capacity at its Calgary, Alberta plant. The expansion will begin immediately and is expected to be fully implemented before year-end. Annual capacity of the Calgary heat treat facility will be increased by more than 70%.

28 June 2005 - The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) has rescinded its June 27, 2000, finding on dumped hot rolled carbon steel plate from Brazil, Finland, India, Indonesia, Thailand and Ukraine and subsidized hot rolled carbon plate from India, Indonesia and Thailand.

Ipsco Revises Second Quarter Outlook

20 June 2005 - Ipsco Inc. has revised its outlook for the second quarter. Although the company had originally estimated that second quarter earnings per share would meet or exceed $2.75 per diluted share, Ipsco now expects that earnings will be closer to $2.45 per diluted share.

06 May 2005 - An electrical short in a rolling mill motor has caused a production outage at Ipsco Inc.’s Montpelier, Iowa, facility. Ipsco estimates that the rolling mill outage, which is expected to last six days, will decrease earnings by approximately $0.05 per diluted share for the quarter.

16 March 2005 - Ipsco Inc. announced its intention to initiate a share repurchase program, by way of a normal course issuer bid, through the facilities of the Toronto Stock Exchange of up to 10% of the public float of its Common Shares, approximately 4.2 million shares. As of March 3, 2005 the company had 50,161, 875 Common Shares outstanding.

Ipsco Establishes Frontier Pipe Research Unit

18 February 2005 - Ipsco Inc. announced it will invest $3.5 million to set up a state-of-the-art research unit dedicated to accelerating development of the company's large-diameter capability. The specialized research capability will be used to focus on the specific steel and pipe needs for large diameter energy transmission lines, further extending Ipsco's current knowledge in this area.
