AISI Reacts to State of the Union Address

21 January 2015 - The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), which represents North American steel producers and suppliers to the steel industry, said the President’s State of the Union message on 20 January 2015 had some “positive elements for the manufacturing sector;” however, “fell short of offering specific proposals to ensure robust growth for industry.”

ISSF: Global Stainless Steel Production Up 9% in First Nine Months of 2014

02 January 2015 - The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) has released figures for the first nine months of 2014 showing that stainless steel melt shop production increased by 8.9% year–on–year to 30.9 million metric tons.
