18 January 2011 - SunCoke Energy has purchased Harold Keene Coal Co., Inc., as well as affiliated entities and their related assets for approximately $40 million in cash, including working capital. Coal reserve estimates for the assets of the entities being purchased total at least 16 million tons, with final estimates to be confirmed by a reserve study that is currently underway.

17 January 2011 - Nunavut Iron Ore Acquisition Inc. has joined as joint offeror under the ArcelorMittal offer in order to provide Baffinland shareholders with an improved offer of C$1.50 in cash for 100% of Baffinland's outstanding common shares. The offer is also for all of Baffinland's common share purchase warrants issued 31 January 2007 at a price of $0.10 per warrant.
