Work Continues on U.S.-EU Green Steel Deal
09/20/2023 - Representatives of the U.S. and European Union are continuing to negotiate a trade deal on green steel and aluminum in advance of a trade summit in the back half of October, reports Politico.
“Although both sides remain far apart on fundamental aspects of the steel negotiations, Brussels and Washington are starting to feel more optimistic they can achieve enough headway this fall to avoid a replay of their 2018–2021 trade war,” Politico reported.
