Wheeling-Nisshin Announces Organizational Change
05/02/2013 - Nisshin Steel Co. announced that Mr. Takuya "Tuck" Hashida will return to a new assignment in Japan in late June 2013. Mr. Hashida will be replaced by Mr. Tetsuhiko "Tanner" Okano. Mr. Okano will assume the role of executive vice president of manufacturing.
Nisshin Steel Company Ltd. announced that Mr. Takuya "Tuck" Hashida will return to a new assignment in Japan in late June 2013. Mr. Hashida will be replaced by Mr. Tetsuhiko "Tanner" Okano. Mr. Okano will assume the role of executive vice president of manufacturing and will report directly to Mr. Noboru Onishi, the company's president and chief executive officer.
Mr. Okano has more than 24 years of experience in various production and technology positions at Nisshin's Sakai Works, the Toyo Works and at the head office in Tokyo. His most recent assignment was as the general manager of the Cold Rolling & Coating Department at the Sakai Works. Mr. Okano has a graduate degree in Mechanical Systems Engineering from Hiroshima University. Tanner is married and has 2 daughters.
