Wheeling Corrugating to Implement Verticent ERP Solution
09/29/2009 - Wheeling Corrugating will implement the Verticent Enterprise Resource Planning solution at each of its operating facilities. A major theme of the partnership will be automation and integration.
Verticent, Inc. announced that Wheeling Corrugating Co. will implement the Verticent Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution at each of its operating facilities.
“Wheeling Corrugating is excited about the opportunity to partner with Verticent in providing our company with the necessary tools to improve our business processes,” said Rich Saginaw, Vice President of Strategic Planning. “It was clear from the onset that Verticent, given its metals background and experience, would deliver the results we had envisioned for the company. We are confident that, moving forward, Verticent’s ERP solution will provide us with the building blocks for strategic growth.”
“The steel industry is still recovering from the economic turbulence over the past year. Yet, here is a visionary company that is investing in its IT infrastructure so that, as the recovery broadens, it is well positioned to gain even more market share,” said Scott Cranford, Verticent’s Vice President of Sales. “The partnership has blossomed in large part because of the steel industry depth that is found throughout the Verticent ERP solution. Wheeling Corrugating possesses the characteristics of both a metal fabricator and metal service center, and that is ideal in terms of the fit for our solution.”
Cranford noted that a big theme for the partnership will be automation and integration. “We will automate many manual processes, and we will integrate not only Wheeling Corrugating’s individual departments, but each of its manufacturing sites as well,” he said.
