Wheeling Corrugating President Resigns
07/13/2007 - Steven Sorvold, President of Wheeling Corrugating (an operating division of Wheeling Pittsburgh) has resigned from the company, effective July 31, 2007.
Wheeling-Pittsburgh Corp. announced that Steven Sorvold, President of Wheeling Corrugating Co., has resigned from the company, effective July 31, 2007.
"Steve has elected to pursue other opportunities and we accept his decision,” stated James P. Bouchard, Chairman and CEO. “We thank him for his past seven years service to this company in various senior management positions, particularly in his assistance as Craig and I assumed our positions here late last year, and wish him well in his endeavors going forward. Wheeling Corrugating is an operating division of Wheeling Pittsburgh. Wheeling Pittsburgh entered into a merger agreement with Esmark earlier this year, in March.
“We also recognize the importance and contribution of this division to the Company's current operations and future growth expectations, and have actively begun the search for a replacement," said Bouchard.
Wheeling Corrugating Co., an operating division of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., manufactures fabricated steel products for the construction, agricultural and highway industries.
Wheeling-Pittsburgh is a steel company engaged in the making, processing and fabrication of steel and steel products using both integrated and electric arc furnace technology. The company's products include hot- and cold-rolled sheet and coated products such as galvanized, pre-painted and tin mill sheet.
