What, Exactly, Is Green Steel? Good Question.
10/10/2022 - Decarbonizing the steelmaking process is a challenge unto itself. But that’s only part of the problem. The other, it seems, is finding agreement on what constitutes green steel.
And that may be difficult to do, as S&P Global Platts reports.
According to Platts, consensus on a definition of green steel was notably absent during one recent industry event.
“There is no definition of green steel,” a representative of one producer said, according to Platts.
