Westmet to Represent Republic Cold Finished Bar Division

Westmet International is now representing Republic Engineered Products’ Cold-Finished Bar Products Division in the western U.S. and western Canada. Westmet, a manufacturer's representative firm, specializes in servicing the metals community in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, California, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico.

Republic renewed its commitment to cold-finished bar products in January 2008 when it created its Cold-Finished Bar Products Division with Mike Eberth as its general manager. The division comprises the facilities where the company manufactures cold-finished bar: Gary, Ind.; Hamilton, Ont.; and Massillon, Ohio.
 
Republic manufactures cold-finished carbon and alloy bar products in 0.25- to 6-inch rounds, 0.25- to 3-inch hexagons, and 0.25- to 3.5-inch squares as well as flats that are 0.25 to 2 inches thick and 1 to 6 inches wide. The company also offers cold-finished bar in a variety of special finishes, grades and qualities, and performs various thermal treatments and other value-added processes to the product.
 
Republic's cold-finished bar is supplied primarily to the steel distribution, automotive, off-highway and aircraft industries.
