Western Technologies Orders Crane Equipment from Terex for Galvanizing Project in Russia
01/22/2014 - Terex Material Handling announced an order for six Demag heavy duty 2.5-ton monorail hoists and two Demag top running single girder 5-ton cranes from Western Technologies.
The overhead hoists and cranes will be used in a large, state-of-the-art galvanizing plant located in the village of Selyatino, Moscow Region, Russian Federation.
Chris Mason, co-owner and head of engineering for Western Technologies, stated, “We have chosen to work with Demag transport equipment exclusively because their hoists, cranes, and drive motors are the best available on the world market. The Demag equipment is unsurpassed in its functionality, operation, and durability in the harsh environment of the galvanizing process.”
Russell Patterson, the other co-owner, stated that, “From a sales and marketing standpoint the Demag equipment requires very little sales effort on our part as the Demag reputation for quality is well known in all industrial markets.”
“We are excited that Western Technologies has chosen us to be a critical part of this unique galvanizing plant project,” says John Paxton, General Manager of Terex Material Handling North America. “This order further proves our ability to successfully serve metal industry customer’s needs through deep engineering capabilities and industry expertise.”
