VWN Steel Solutions Becomes Part of Danieli Group
02/07/2011 - VWN Steel Solutions GmbH has been incorporated into the newly set Danieli Centro Met Swiss, a branch of Danieli Centro Met, specializing in the revamping business for electric steelmaking facilities.
VWN Steel Solutions GmbH has been incorporated into the newly set Danieli Centro Met Swiss (a branch of Danieli Centro Met), effective February 1, 2011. The new company will represent the center of competence within the Danieli global organization for the worldwide revamping business in electric steelmaking. Additionally, Danieli Centro Met Swiss will take care of the German speaking markets in terms of all electric steelmaking projects.
The new company will continue to operate from the existing VWN Steel Solutions offices located in Rheinfelden, Switzerland, between Basel and Zurich. Mr. Bernard Villemin and Mr. Thomas Narholz will take the position of Managing Director for Danieli Centro Met Swiss and Executive Vice President within the global organization of Danieli.
The consulting and services activities of VWN Steel Solutions GmbH have been sold to the newly set VWN Steel Consulting AG, located in Liestal/Switzerland, controlled by Mr. Horst WIESINGER (one of the founders of VWN Steel Solutions GmbH). Some of the experts who were part of the former VWN Team will continue working for VWN Steel Consulting AG.
