VINA Kyoei Steel Receives Upgraded Fume System From Tenova
11/06/2019 - Tenova subsidiary Tenova Goodfellow Inc. has commissioned a new "peak shaving" exhaust-cooling system at VINA Kyoei Steel in Vietnam, the company announced recently.
Commissioned in late spring, the system was ordered in September 2018. The order included hardware components, engineering, computational fluid dynamics modeling, commissioning and installation support.
The project’s goal was to provide solutions for the customer with regard to fume scattering in the meltshop, water leakage from cooling duct and gas cooler breakages, and clogging of the gas cooler and blower fan.
"The Peak Shaver Tower is the most effective type of cooling system for the EAF primary fumes. Equipment supplied was made to measure, thus ensuring exact fit to the existing structure," Tenova said.
