Vietnamese Steelmaker Signs Off on New Cold Mill
10/29/2019 - Pomina Flat Steel, a subsidiary of Pomina Steel Group, has signed the final acceptance certificate for its new cold mill complex in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Vietnam.
According to the equipment supplier, Tenova, the mill includes a push-pull pickling line and acid regeneration plant, a 6-high cold mill, a continuous galvanizing line and color coating line, and new roll grinding equipment.
“The final acceptance certificate is not only a success for Tenova but also for Pomina. They can now produce higher quality steel for domestic and foreign markets with reliable and state-of-the-art technologies,” said Nicola Cavero, senior vice president at Tenova Italimpianti.
Pomina Steel is a long steel maker, but is entering the flat steel market through the new facility.
