Valmont Coating Division Honored for Excellence in Galvanizing

Valmont Industries, Inc.’s Coatings Division was honored with two awards of Excellence In Hot-Dip Galvanizing. The awards competition, sponsored by the American Galvanizing Association, was based on the utilization of hot-dip galvanizing in an ideal, creative, innovative, and/or monumental fashion.

The American Galvanizing Association presented its Most Distinguished award — the organization’s most prestigious award — to Valmont's Calwest facility in Long Beach, Calif., for its work on the Caltrans District 7 headquarters project in historic downtown Los Angeles. In the Artistic market category, Valmont's Pacific States facility in Tualatin, Ore., won for its work on the Springstar Golden Springs Property Sculpture.

"Valmont Coatings is proud to receive these two awards," said Rick Cornish, Vice President and General Manager of Valmont Coatings division. "The AGA Award criteria are based on the world's most stringent standards for performance excellence. We are very pleased to be chosen by the independent panel of architects, engineers, designers and users of galvanized steel."
