VAII to Modernize North Star Steel EAFs

Feb. 3, 2004 — North Star Steel has awarded VAII a contract to provide engineering expertise and the supply of two new EAF roof structures at the company’s Wilton, Iowa, facility.

In addition to the new taller roof assemblies, VAII’s scope of supply will also include a complete redesign and supply of the roof gantry arms is also included. The roof structures will be based on VAI Fuchs Technology.

Delivery of the new components is scheduled for June 2004.
