VAI-MS has been contracted to provide a vacuum degassing plant to Brazilian steel producer Companhia Siderúrgica, an Arcelor Group company. The order is valued at approximately EUR 29 million.

The project follows Companhia Siderúrgica’s order, placed with VAI this spring, for a new blast furnace. This earlier order is valued at around EUR 120 million.

Due to its wealth of mineral resources, the Brazilian market is considered to have great future potential.
