VAI Fuchs to Supply Three Electric Arc Furnaces

VAI Fuchs was recently awarded with three contracts for electric arc furnaces and auxiliary equipment. Total contract value approximately 33 million Euro.

In the U.S., VAI Fuchs will supply a new EAF to Rocky Mountain Steel Mills in Pueblo, Colo. State-of the art technology and automation solutions will ensure production under strict emission standards.

Internationally, VAI Fuchs will supply a new EAF to Siderurgica de Guatemala in Guatemala. The new EAF will increase the facility’s steel production by up to 40%.

The third EAF will be supplied to the Iran National Steel Industrial Group (Insig) in Iran. Insig recently placed an order for meltshop equipment in order to round up the complete steel production facility.

VAI Fuchs will commission all three electric arc furnaces in 2005.
