Vadim Larin Appointed CEO of Severstal Management
06/02/2015 - PAO Severstal, one of the world’s leading steel and steel-related mining companies, announced that Vadim Larin, previously COO of Severstal Management, has been appointed CEO of Severstal Management in line with Company’s plans announced earlier on 27 April 2015.
The positon of COO no longer exists.
As previously announced, Alexey Mordashov, who held the position of CEO of Severstal since December 2006, was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of PAO Severstal at the meeting of PAO Severstal’s Board of Directors on 26 May 2015.
Vadim Larin has been Chief Operating Officer since 2013. He joined Severstal in 2003 as a CEO of Intaugol. He became a CEO of Kuzbassugol in 2005, and a CEO of Vorkutaugol in 2007. Vadim Larin was appointed a CEO of Severstal Resources mining division in 2010. Vadim graduated from the Moscow Institute of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Automation. He also holds an MBA degree from INSEAD. Prior to joining Severstal, Vadim worked at McKinsey& Company.
